portrait final and some figure work!

Here's the final portrait of Angela! Not sure how many hours went into this - probably about 6 or so. I used a sfot 6B graphite stick for the background texture, and rendered the face with an H, HB, F, and 2B graphite pencil.



And here's a quick figure drawing - trying to rely more on shape and value here, rather than line (which is a HUGE change for me!) - The results are interesting, and I'm still getting a hang of it. The guys who have been doing this for a while have had some beautiful results! I can't wait to use this technique in a life drawing situation!
