backgrounds for new paintings

I finished up a few new backgrounds last night while prepping panels... these are both done with acrylic washes on gessoed panels, measuring 18"x24" . They are done rather quickly with a "wet on wet" technique, dripping and scrubbing as I go to get layers of texture and color interaction.






I'll be posting more tonight hopefully, when I get some oil paint on top of these panels :)
